“Matisse, Monet and Me” introduces art history to children and encourages them to express themselves in their own creative way. Each class starts by studying the works of an artist and the techniques used. We then create projects inspired by the artist or their culture.

We look in mirrors for self portraits, draw from still-lifes, mix colors with marbles and sculpt with clay. Sometimes we even make our own paints, just as the old masters did!

Children are guided through projects, as they develop their eye and hand coordination. “Matisse, Monet and Me” fosters each student's natural urge to explore the world and be open to all possibilities of expression through art.
